Meet the team
Steph Grant
Head of School-Aged Services
I’m the Head of School-Aged Services. I oversee our Out of School Care, Indi Youth and Flexible Services.
I graduated from Edinburgh Napier in 2017, receiving a BA in Youth Work and then completed a PDA in Leadership and Management (Childhood Practice) in 2020 before becoming a parent for the first time later that year.
My passion is to empower children and young people and ensure their voices are at the very heart of our services. I strive to support the staff team to achieve their ambitions, unlock their potential and provide the very best experience for every child and young person.
Chanelle Chambers
School Aged Services Manager
Hi, my name is Chanelle, and I’m the School Aged Services Manager. I have worked at Indigo for over 10 years now, starting as a sessional worker and progressing through various roles before becoming School Aged Services Manager.
I graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2021 with a BA in Childhood Practice.
I enjoy working with Indigo as I am passionate about making a positive difference to our children and families. The commitment Indigo has to its children, families, and team makes me proud to work here and is one of the reasons I decided to send my son to our nursery.
Frances Pate
Inclusion Coordinator
Hi, I’m Frances! I joined Indigo in 2013 as a sessional worker with a passion for promoting inclusion. Now, as Inclusion Co-Ordinator, I work across all services, supporting children, young people, families, and our team to ensure everyone gets the right support at the right time.
My favorite part of the role is leading the children’s Inclusion Group, where we discuss important topics, celebrate differences, and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Emma
Lead Youth Worker at Indi Youth
Hi, I’m Emma, the lead youth worker at Indi Youth. I’ve been at Indigo for 2 years, and it’s flown in!
I love to watch the young people grow in confidence and see their personalities develop through time, working with them. I enjoy taking part in physical activities, especially dodgeball.
I also really enjoy planning and executing big projects with the young people, my favourite was Indi Youth presents Gladiators!
Our Indi Youth say…
K.D. after leading his first Dungeons and Dragons session: ‘That was so much fun, can I do it again!’
‘I’m learning how to play the guitar and drums at Indi Youth. It’s so much fun’
‘I like Indi Youth because the people I met feel like a second family. I’ve made plenty of friends being in Indi Youth’
‘I like Indi Youth. I’ve made very good friends while being in Indi Youth’

What parents say...
We have had an exceptional experience with Indigo! All staff have been amazing and supported us and H through very tough times at school. Indigo did everything in their power ... to support H with his additional needs, as well as being very supportive of both his dad and me. We appreciate everything Indigo has done for us over the years. Thank you for a great experience.
Parent
J has been in the Indigo child care group since he was a baby, 9months old, till now, he is 13 years old. I appreciate everything that all the staff ... have done for J, and he has loved everyone throughout the years. J is now at the age he can walk to my sister’s after school, and I’m finding he is not requiring the service more than he is these days. Thank you for everything over J’s childhood school days
Parent
Thank you so much for all the help I have received over the last 12 years. I could not have asked for a better service. From nursery to after school ... care and Indy Youth. You really do have the best staff, who are great with all the kids. I have been able to still work full-time time knowing my boy has been safe in your care. I may still need some help with holiday cover, and I know I will need to request this in advance. J and I will miss you all very much.
