ELC - PMLD Report
Indigo Childcare Group and The Scottish Centre for Children with Motor Impairments have released a report (29th March 2023) into the provision of Early Learning and childcare for children with highly complex disabilities and intensive care needs. It has been stated that although the Scottish Government’s flagship policy of access to free nursery care for 3 and 4 year old is working well for most families in Scotland, significant challenges remain in ensuring that those with complex needs can access their entitlement.
This report highlights that although the Scottish Government Flagship Policy of access to free nursery care for 3 and 4-year-olds is working well for most families challenges do remain to ensure that those with complex needs can access their entitlement.
