A service designed by young people

Indi Youth is our innovative youth service which provides a variety of opportunities for young people (11 - 16 years). The key aspects of the service are to have fun, build key supportive relationships, and to provide opportunities, learn new and develop existing skills that will support their transition to young adults. The service encourages young people to make decisions, putting young people at the heart of the programme.

The main aim is to provide a service for young people who don’t want to attend childcare but for parents who do.

Meet the Youth Team

Steph

Hi, I’m Steph, Head of School Aged Services. I was part of the team who started Indi Youth in 2012 and I love to watch young people take ownership of the service, and shape their own journeys. I love to get creative in the kitchen and trial new recipes with young people, it’s a great opportunity to have a few laughs  and a chat whilst learning new skills.

Fun Fact: I have a little Shetland pony called Lola, she’s a bit of a menace!

Hi, I'm Frances, the Inclusion Coordinator at Indigo.  I love getting to know the young people through chat sessions & walk and talks. My favourite activities are Inclusion group, BSL & Arts and crafts. I love watching our young people grow and develop their passion/skills at Indi Youth.

Fun fact: I love listening to country music and my favourite food is pizza.
