We offer an Out of School Care service for our school-age children, which offers a safe and stimulating place for your child to play and take part in activities both indoors and outdoors.
It is vital as part of our Indigo values that our children still continue to learn and grow whilst having fun under our care with our carefully curated activity plans created by our highly skilled team.
We recognise that in order for children to learn they need to feel safe, happy and secure which is why there is a focus on learning alongside care. We work hard to deliver an interesting, exciting and imaginative learning programme full of play experiences both indoors and outdoors that encourages your child to achieve their own potential as a learner. Children are supported to become successful learners and grow in confidence, becoming more self-assured and responsible citizens that are effective contributors in our community.
Early Learning and Childcare research has proven that young children learn best when engaged in active learning. Learning through play will involve approaches such as spontaneous free play, responsive play, planned play, play which involves investigating, exploring and problem-solving, play which focuses on learning through events and life experiences and some focused learning and teaching.

Meet The Team
Steph Grant
Head of School Aged Services
My name is Steph Grant and I’m the Head of School Aged Services. I oversee our Out of School Care, Indi Youth and Flexible Services. I graduated from Edinburgh Napier in 2017 receiving a BA in Youth Work and then completed a PDA in Leadership and Management (Childhood Practice) in 2020 before becoming a parent for the first time later that year. My passion is to empower children and young people and ensure their voices are at the very heart of our services. I strive to support the staff team to achieve their ambitions, unlock their potential and to provide the very best experience for every child and young person.
Chanelle Chambers
OOSC Assistant Manager
“Hi, I’m Chanelle the Assistant Manager for both of our Out of School Care Services and I have worked at Indigo for 10 years now, during that period I graduated from Glasgow University in 2021 with BA in Childhood Practice. I enjoy working for Indigo because of the commitment and passion we have for our children and families. I started as a sessional worker in 2013 and my first permanent role was as a child development officer in the early years setting. During the 10 years, I have been able to cross between services allowing the opportunity for learning.
